He wasted his SUBSTANCE

SUBSATNCE is The most vital or essential part of something.

Most people are where they are because on a daily/continuous basis they waste the substance of their life.

PRODUCTIVE LIVING IS SIMPLY MAXIMIZING THE SUBSTANCE OF YOUR LIFE.


One thing most people fail to remember is that nothing last forever.

Wealth, strength, fame, opportunity and even our lives will fade away with time, it may happen gradually or suddenly but it will eventually happen.

What makes you RELEVANT to your world is your ability to CONSTANTLY MAXIMIZE the SUBSTANCES of your life.


MAXIMIZE is the opposite of WASTE.

To be wasteful is

1.  Underminning the real potential of a thing or person

2. Diverting the original purpose of  thing to something/somewhere where its value is underprised or under utilised.

3. Mismanagement of divine endowments, giftings /talents

''SUBSTANCES'' THAT CAN BE WASTED

I know you would say but substances does not fit in here. But you know the listings below are life's substance, they are essentials for a good life, if you waste them you are sure heading for a crash.  examples of these substances are :

1. Time

2. Resources (financial, material and natural)

3. Relationships

4. Opportunities

5. Platforms

6. Talents and giftings

7. Seasons

8. Strength and energy

9.Knowledge and Information


Who/what you will become in the future is greatly dependent on how well you MAXIMIZE the above ''SUBSTANCES'' 


SIGNS/CHARACTERISTICS OF  WASTEFULNESS

1. Dwelling in yesterdays victory without any intent of breaking new grounds.

2. Unwillingness to try anything beyond your comfort zone.

3. Inability to take the right steps at the right time

4, Failure to recognise the presence of destiny helpers/destiny partners when they appear in your life.

5. Relentful attitude towards matters of purpose, vision and destiny

6. When you get too comfortable with present circumstances not because they are ok for you but because you do not believe in your    ability to strive.

7. When you begin to treat the people in your life with less value.

8. When you begin to exhibit noticeable attitudinal weakness towards people around you.

9. Accumulating more than is needed for effectual running of life and destiny without any intention of being a blessing/support to people around you.

10. When you can trade trust and confidence  for momentary gains.

11. When your garbage/trash bin is richer than your poor neighbours kitchen.

12. When your primary aim of charity is public recognition.

13. When you are absence is not missed just like your presence is not felt.

14. When you are busy working in other men’s vineyard while yours lies fallow.

15. When you fail to discover your purpose in life.

16. When you operate and live life below God’s expectations for/from you.

17. Putting yourself into a condition where you are constantly drained without any form of replenishment.

18. Failing to constantly improve on what you know.

19. Failure to move with time.

20. Inability to gain the pre-requisite knowledge for your endeavour.



There is another side to the story sited above, The problem was not that he left but that he failed to MAXIMIZE the SUBSTANCES he left with. When he left his father, he left with a kingly inheritance (GREAT SUBSTANCES), but he WASTED THEM.  His wasteful attitude earned him the title PRODICAL.  He was first a son before he became prodigal, he could be become an illustrious son but he became THE PRODIGAL SON.

He returned in RAGS.

Anytime your life becomes wasteful, you are heading for a PRODICAL END, an end filled with 

• SUFFERING, 

• RAGS 

• SHAME and 

• REGRETS


WASTE is one major reason for many setbacks in life.  


The greatest secret for maximum living is in MAXIMISING YOUR SUABSTANCES.


• Every day counts.

• Every time counts

• Every resources counts

• Every relation counts

• Every season counts


Even when it appears to be challenging, the lessons available in those times and seasons are the victory doses for your next season.

• Your latter end shall be greater than your beginning

• Your life shall only get better

• You will fulfil the number of your days.
